Make your Website easy to understand by Chinese customers

FAQs

Must I translate whole Website into Chinese?

For some products/services, you can start with just translating the most important pages, and then continue in English/German for the details. This is better than no translation at all.

How much will my translation cost?

There are several factors we consider when quoting a specific project. The main criterions are the number of words a webpage contains and the technical skills used by your website. Each project is quoted independently.

How do I submit my documents to you?

You can send us your documents via e-mai or delivery on CD-ROM.

How will I receive the finished site?

We can return translated material in the same manner as we received it.

How would you handle the graphical elements of the web site?

As specified by your, the graphics that have a textual content will have that text translated and a localised version. Some graphics may have to be re-sized to allow them to accommodate the Chinese language. For instance, replacing German text with Chinese text may require the graphics to be enlarged as the Chinese text will be up to 20% longer than the German.

Can you handle CGI scripts, Java scripts, ASP files, databases etc?

With most of these files our translators, working in co-operation with our in-house technical staff will translate them and will ensure the scripts remain bug-free.

What about Chinese character sets?

Providing the Chinese character sets can be recognised by the browsers and operating systems with the appropriate fonts, there should be no trouble. The web site coding can be adjusted to instruct the browser to default to the correct character set.

We can translate your web pages to simplified Chinese and tradtional Chinese.

Simplified Chinese is used in mainland China and Singapore. Traditional Chinese is used in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
